Sakkou is the final hairstyle worn by a maiko to mark the end of her apprenticeship. After the sakkou stage, a maiko usually becomes a geiko.

In Gion Kobu, maiko wear white collar, golden obi and formal black crested kimono (kuromontsuki). Mamechiho’s kimono was patterned with kichou.

Mamechiho became a geiko in November 2009, but she quit later.
